Norwich – Alexander Zoladz, 70, passed away at home, surrounded by his family after a 3 year battle with cancer on December 29, 2020. Born in Norwich, March 9, 1950, Alexander was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Dubenetsky) Zoladz, and the loving husband of Deborah (Parkhurst) Zoladz for 48 wonderful years. Alexander was a kind, honest and caring soul, who could easily befriend anyone he encountered. He worked in the electrical department at Norwich Public Utilities for 39 years. Alexander loved his family, and enjoyed spending with time with his grandchildren more than anything. He will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Deborah, Alexander is survived by his two children: Shelly Beth Smeeton and Darrell Alexander Zoladz, and his grandchildren, Gavin Smeeton and Alexander Zoladz. The Woyasz & Son Funeral Home of Norwich is assisting with private arrangements.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Sandy was a coworker and a great guy. He always had a smile and was willing to help anyone in need. NPU was blessed to have such an organized person run the line shop. Sandy’s experience and knowledge never went unnoticed. Rest In Peace, Sandy. Heaven has gained another Angel.

My condolences to Sandy's family... I worked with Sandy for quite a few years before he retired. The world lost a gentle soul. Always had a smile, and supportive, patient disposition. Also, will never forget the beat-up base ball cap on his head, and a coffee cup in hand. Rest in peace.

I'm so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. I enjoyed working with him at NPU, he was such a nice man and always so pleasant to talk to. Rest in peace Sandy and my deepest condolences to the Zoladz family.

Sandy, you were the most patient and compassionate man. I know you are no longer suffering and I will continue to pray for your family. Sincerely Laura

Rest In Peace Sandy you were the best Im just am glad I had the pleasure of working side by side with you and will be missed!!!

Sandy, coworker and friend. Missed him when he left NPU and very sad to hear of his passing. Always had a smile on his face and was dedicated to keeping a smile on everyone else's face.
Always there to help me with storm prep, checking in to make sure we would have what may be needed for the impending storm. To his family.... so sorry for your loss.

I learned a lot from Sandy in the short time I knew him. He will be missed but his sandyisms will always last.

Sandy was a co-worker, mentor, and friend to me for many years at NPU, and I look back at the time that I got to spend with him as a gift. We shared many, many stories, laughs, and an immeasurable amount of coffee together. I am so sorry for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

...so sorry to hear about my cousins passing...just read about his passing for the first time today...wish I had known...Rick...
