Not sure what to say?

I pulled an old book of poetry from my bookshelf today. A gift from Sandy in 1972. Mark Strand. Reasons for Moving. "We all have reasons for moving. I move to keep things whole." I carried this verse, this poem, this book for my entire life. Through the years - writing poetry now and then. I decided today to write again. I went in search of the book, never far from reach. And I was reminded of Sandy. James Dowaliby Los Angeles November 22, 2024

Sandy was the definition of a soulful trouper who fought the good fight for the things she believed in. She cared deeply and worked hard to support the environment and its people. That's a pretty great thing to be able to look back upon.

With much affection,

A kind, dynamic woman who accomplished so much. Rest in peace, Sandy.
Andrea Kerin

Sandy will always hold a dear place in my thoughts and memories my deepest condolences go out to the family.

Rest In Peace, Sandy.

SANDY WAS ONE OF A KIND. SHE WAS BORN AN
ADVOCATE AND CT IS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE
HAD HER PRESENCE IN ALL THINGS THAT
NEEDED 'FIXING.'
BLESS YOU, SANDY, AND MAY YOU CONTINUE
FROM ABOVE TO WATCH THE SOUND AND THOSE
WHO RESPECT IT AS WELL AS THOSE WHO DO NOT.
I'LL MISS OUR MANY HOURS OF FRIENDSHIP AT
THE AUDUBON CENTER AT BENT OF THE RIVER,
ESPECIALLY THE SUMMER BIRTHDAY GATHERINGS.
IN LOVING KINDNESS,
JUDITH E. STEVENS

No matter how bleak appeared the prospects for what she was advocating, she always maintained a contagious, cheerful demeanor - which I'm sure helped her accomplish so much.

Oh, Sandy - how I will miss those marathon roadside chats, catching up on recent doings and sharing common interests. Your upbeat attitude and positive energy always put more bounce in my stride as I proceeded on my daily jaunt and you went on your merry way. Spread the joy upstairs, luv - they are waiting for you with loving, open arms!

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)
