Thinking of Tanny and her wicked wit. How much of her childhood she spent upside- down doing handstands. The Blackfeet her father worked among called her Princess Proudfoot. The world is a poorer place.

I gifted my audio tapes of West with the Night along with a copy of the book to my grand daughter. I would truly love to have cds of Alexandra's reading. Would the family consider making such cds available for sale?

As always, thinking of Tanny/Alex especially at this time of year. Remembering her eyes, which stayed the same right to the end. Large, lovely, level, crystal grey--or so I always thought. Me again, Pepys. For the first time in a couple of years this website is letting me post. I've been sortimg out the library and came across your recordings of "West with the Night' and "Queen's Gambit". These were the only ones you let me keep, except for "Rebecca". i used to play them just to hear your voice but now have no tape-player. Can you convert these things to CDs? Alex. I miss you. I miss your humor, your wit and your appreciation for my lack of humor and wit. Despite the last few years of Alex's life, I witnessed a friend who never tired of laughing and remembering all the goodness around her. She especially loved her sister and brother and her friends and her husband. I learned so much from Alex. I miss both Alex and Ian very much.
