Alphonse, was the older brother that I didn't have. I was a few years younger, and he was always a protector to me and my friends as we navigated through Riis Park and our old neighborhood. Alphonse was always there when you needed him and he truly loved his family and friends. It's been my pleasure growing up with him and Francine and I will miss our lunches at New Star. His stories are priceless and he will be missed.
