Alfonzina Lucia (Marotta) Luisi, 92, of Avon, passed away on December 23, 2025. Born on July 17, 1933 in Hartford, to the late Salvatore and Angelina (Musumeci) Marotta. She retired to Naples, FL from Pratt & Whitney before returning to CT in 2013


Alfonzina was affectionately known as Lucy, she was quite the fashionista, loved to travel and play the slots.


She is survived by three sons Sebastian Bordieri and wife Irene, Salvatore Bordieri and wife Remia, and Joseph Bordieri and wife Marci; five grandchildren Christina Lachowski and husband Kurt, Catherine Bordieri, Stephen Bordieri and wife Amanda, Kara Tracy and husband Alex, and Jenna Bordieri; three great-grand children Colin and Callie Lachowski and Jack Tracy. She also leaves behind her sister Santina Garofalo and sister-in-law Lucy Marotta as well as several dear nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her husband Michael Luisi and siblings Alphonse Marotta and Yolanda Giarratana and her brother-in-law Alfonso Garofalo.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025  at 10a.m. directly in St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 280 Brook St. Rocky Hill. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield  Family and friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill, on Sunday, Decemeber 28, 2025 from 2-4p.m.
