I met Mr. Abati in 1991 when my three children attended PS 3. My family went through an life altering time and Mr. Abati knew and was a single man support team for my children. He was a wonderful man which made him an outstanding principle.
I am sure he will me missed by his family and send my deepest sympathy to them.

Best principal EVER!!!!! He knew every kid's name by heart. Rest In Peace dear man and kind soul. ❤ He was my principal at P.S.3. until 4th grade when he retired and I still remember him fondly. You touched many lives. You consoled me when I forgot my lunch and were such a kind man. God bless you.

Mr Abate was a wonderful man I worked as a para in PS 3 when he was principal there. He was so nice to the students. I will never forgot something that he said that has stayed with me all these years never blame yourself for mistakes that you made as a parent as long as you know that you did the best job that you could and never look back with regret. He will always be remembered fondly by my children also as they attended PS 3 at that time. Rest In Peace Mr. Abate
With our deepest...
