I am saddened to learn that Fred Bacchi has passed away from us. Our deepest sympathies to Diane, Bill and Sharon, AnnMarie and their respective families of Team Bacchi. Fred was a master teacher, a fine gentleman and the epitome of a Curtis Warrior. Until we meet again, dear Fred, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Mr. Bacchi was a brilliant teacher but was also very relatable with a sharp sense of humor. Visits to him at Curtis H.S. Science office brought joy to my day. He cared just at much about my games and teams as he did about my grades. He helped create a balance and I hope to honor him as a science teacher. God bless the Bacci family!

Mr. Bacchi would probably think the typographical error in my previous post is quite funny but, from the context, it should be quite clear that the word intended is "instilled" not "killed". I apologize to Mr. Bacchi and his family for any confusion it may have caused.

Alfred Bacchi, Jr. was one of my dearest teachers while I attended Curtis in the late 60's. He killed a love of chemistry in me so that I majored in it in college. He was an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor. One of the very best.

I remember Mr. Bacchi's Chemistry Class at Curtis. He was not only a great teacher who was cool under pressure, but his sense of humor brighten an otherwise mundane chemistry class.

Mr. Bacchi made Curtis a better place, with his support, knowledge, leadership and kindness to students. It was because of him that I enjoyed spending my lunch periods working in the science office. May he Rest In Peace .
