Not sure what to say?

It was only recentlythat I saw the Queens University memorial in thr NY Times. Alfred's History is similar to mine.We both were born in Vienna fled Hitler, were interned briefly in the UK as "enemy aliens". He went to Canada and I to the US. Fortuiously as stamp collectors we met in Milwaukee. He gave mehis auto biography and we made friends. Shalom

Dr Bader was a wonderful supporter of Chemistry. During my time on the Faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire he visited often. On one such visit, he gave a Chemistry Seminar, lectured in our School of Business and then gave a talk on Art History in our Art Department. He also loaned some of his art collection to the Art Department for a most impressive show. Such a kind and generous scholar!

On behalf of the University of Toronto, I offer sincere condolences to Mrs. Bader and the Bader family. Alfred has been a great supporter of Victoria University, and we are fortunate to have had the benefit of his friendship. His many friends at U of T will dearly miss him.

My sympathy to Isabelle, and his two sons and grandchildren. He lived a nice long life filled with accomplishments.

My sincere condolences go to the family. Deuteronomy 32:7 tells us to Remember the days of old. May special memories of moments spent together bring you comfort as you cope with his loss and may you receive much love and support.
