Dear Bates Family,

I'm very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, I never knew Arthur personally, but I still feel a connection and a loss of my own. My thoughts are with you in your time of grief, and I hope your fond memories of him can bring you solace in this time of sorrow.

Kind regards,
Jillian Mack

Arthur was a frequent visitor to the U.K. and made an effort to keep in contact with his English family. He was always great company and will be remembered with great affection. Janet Bates & Family.

Ours are only happy memories! I'm smiling as I write!
The summers at Chautaqua on the tennis court and on the lake. Great dinners and happy families and friends.
Sking and snowmobiling in the winter!
And then the fun in Clifton Park and the beach and the many get-to-gethers in our homes over the years.
Alan, Bruce, David and Marilyn, we're sorry for your loss and at the same time, we're very gratful for the memories!
God Bless

Bruce - Very sorry to hear the news of your father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I feel very blessed to know the Bates family and to have known a wonderful man like Art. I will miss the daily calls from him to discuss business, which always turned to family, friends, religion, Hollywood and the occasional joke. I know he is in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Bruce - Sorry to hear the news of your father. You and your family are in our prayers.

To Martha, Alan, Marilyn, Bruce and David . . .

It is easy to envision Art and Mom settling back into their luncheon schedule . . . and of them each having been welcomed by the Warm and Loving embrace of those who preceded them.

May God grant you peace during this most difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
