Not sure what to say?

My heart sinks to learn of his passing because I was just telling someone, "I wish I could find this band director that had such a profound impact on my early life." I wish I had had the opportunity to tell him how much I appreciated his guidance - I went on to receive a doctorate in music and much can be contributed to the so meaningful influence he had on my early music education. Word to the wise - don't make my mistake - tell them while they're alive.

Thank you Mr. Bernard - I hope...

Ms. Bernard,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I graduated with your son, Andre, whom I miss dearly and remember meeting you and your husband at a get together Andre had. Know that God has his arms wrapped around you and that Andre and his dad are together waiting and watching over you.

To the Bernard Family, My heart and prayers are with you at this time.Memories of the radiant smile, the kind, enthusiastic passion for excellence that Mr. Bernard shared since I first met him as one of his band students @ Northwestern High School will forever be cherished. An exquisite motivator who sought to bring out the best in everyone he met. I will keep you in my prayers.

To the Bernard family my prayers are with you. I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Bernard's passing, I learned a great deal from him when I was employed by him years ago. I will continue to pray for your family.

Dear Gloria,
I was very sad when Evelyn called and told me about the death of your husband. Please know that you have my deepest sympathy and I will lift you and family up in prayer.
