Alfred Joseph Bouvier, age 79, passed away on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at the Stuart Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Florida.


A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations, 39 Old Kings Rd., N., on Saturday July 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.


Alfred was born on July 31,1942 in Sidney, New York to the late Harry Joseph Bouvier & Elizabeth Aileen (Rickard) Bouvier. He was a graduate of Sidney High School, where he played a variety of sports, though his biggest focus was basketball & football. He received a football scholarship to Lycoming College. Alfred was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. He also played football for the USMC while stationed overseas. After his military service, Alfred earned his Master Tool and Die Maker from Bendix Corporation. He then went on to become a process engineer, and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from State University College at Oneonta, NY. During this time he played football for the Oneonta (N.Y.) Indians, and was a volunteer fireman in Sidney, NY. He also enjoyed playing golf in his youth & was a member of the Sidney Golf & Country Club. Alfred also enjoyed fishing and boating.


He was the Owner & Operator of Courage Enterprises, Inc, an electronic components distributor. His career brought him all over the world, and he was involved in many aerospace engineering projects. He and his family moved to California in 1978, Arizona in 1986, and Florida in 1992. He moved to Palm Coast in 2007 from South Florida. He retired in 2018 to enjoy his ever-growing family.


Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry Arthur Bouvier; a sister, Adelaide Judy Austin and by a son, Arthur Jean Bouvier. He is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Janice Schied Bouvier; children, Alfred Joseph Bouvier V (wife, Michelle), Andrew Justin Bouvier (wife, Tina), Amy Bouvier Poblenz (husband, Charles) & David Joseph Johnson (wife, Margo); 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren (and 1 more on the way); brother, Joel Ralph Bouvier (wife, Linda) and by many extended family members and friends.
