Not sure what to say?

Today at church I learnd of Al's passing, and was shocked. He was my teacher in 5th and 8th grade at Peace. Next to my fathr he had a great influence on the man I turned out to be and I will always be grateful. I had the pleasure of having lunch with him at St. Mark last year at a funeral lunch and I am so glad I got to sit and talk and remember his influence. He taught so much to so many, and he was a true Servant of God. He will always hold a special place in my heart. He was God's Blessing...

I remember a few little poems that Mr. C would use quite often. In the morning at the beginning of class, one of my favorites that I use at times, and I would always think of him when I do: "All the monkeys live in the zoo, everyday I see quite a few" He'd say that looking us straight in the eyes with his big smile. He also taught me the world's shortest poem titled Fleas: "Adam had um". Love you. Thanks for all the love and memories.

I had Mr C also in 5th grade, with him and the class I learned how to say the word aluminum, that word was so hard for me to say back then. And the other moment I will never forget was when I was a Dutch girl in the school play. when the curtain opened, I froze, Mr C got me going and I finished the dance with the other girls. Overall though, Mr C was one of the best teachers Peace Lutheran ever had, he is going to be missed.God bless his family during this moment of loss, your in my prayers. ...

I can count on one hand the people who have made significant and lasting change in my Life, Alfred was one of those people. We all know where he is going, but we will miss him none the less...

My sincere condolences to the Christiansen family. May the God of all comfort (Psalms 83:18) help you during these difficult times.

A great Christian man has joined Jesus in heaven. My favorite memory of Al was competing with him to see who could get the most $$$ in sponsors for the Rescue Mission golf challenge fund raiser. Oh, and with all his contacts and former students, he always beat me. Rest in peace, Al.

Al was up at our cottage on Linwood Beach in summer of 1961. My father was running our 14 ft all wood Lyman boat with a 35 HP Evinrude on it. Back then the ski ropes were very elastic. Al wanted to water ski for the first time. Some how on the ascent up and out of the water, Al lost the ski rope. It went whipping forward, and boomeranged back knocking Al directly on the forehead. It stunned Al, for a few minutes, and left a red mark on his head. However being the man of strong character he...

Mr C was my teacher for 5th & 8th grade @ Peace. So many wonderful memories come flooding in when I think of those grade school years: our introduction to tumbling, our Reformation play, chalk drawings on his classroom black boards, Rosie the pig, his pink house on the corner across from my grandparents, but most of all I remember him sharing his love for Jesus. What a strong & steady Christain influence he always was!

The first hour l spent with Al when he was considering a move to McBrite, l felt like l had known him forever. I can certainly see in reading the many memories of Al that everyone felt this way. A true man of his word and a man of God's word. Rest in Peace Al and enjoy your heavenly rewards.
