I was JUST thinking of Al yesterday when I drove into the skating rink on Rosedale and then meandered down to the pool.
Al was the Manager/Director my father chose to run operations after his dream of raising the money to Bond the pool privately came true.
No greater individual could do it my dad said.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Al's positive attitude, smile, and cheerful laugh brightened many a day.

"I woke up in school this morning, I woke up in school this morning, I woke up in school this morning, went to sleep with you on my mind". I wonder how many former Torey J 6th graders would remember that song. I'll never forget it, or Mr. Clement.

Dear Shirley, and all Al's loved ones,
News of Al's death just came to Frank and me from Alison, in London. He was such a life force that we can only imagine how much you'll miss him. We certainly know how many happy Weller memories involve him; and with his passing we will treasure them all the more.
Did we ever thank him adequately for all he did for us, as teacher, pool colleague, and forever cheerful friend?
I'm afraid not. But we thank you now, for sharing...

What a wonderful 6th grade teacher Mr Clement was. He really tried to understand each student's uniqueness and make them feel special. I truely appreciate what a blessing it was to have him as a teacher since I now have a child in 6th grade.

Many memories of "Mr. Clement" stopping by MCP to chat with us guards, and being the race official for MHS cross-country "home" races at Loantaka Brook Park in the 1990's. Thanks, Mr. Clement!
