Dear Sal and family, we are sorry for your loss. Nancy,Sandra and myself have benefited many times by Al's generosity of his time and equipment. The first week after moving in across the road a 3 foot snow storm blocked us in. That morning Al came down your driveway on his tractor, plowed us out along with several other neighbors.
Al helped out with several other projects over the years. Al was always kind and helpful. We will truly miss him. We pray the Lord will strengthen you and your...

Bern and I are saddened by the loss of an "original" gothic Vermonter. Whenever the gang got together at weddings or other events, Al's smiling face and great hugs always lifted your spirits and left you with a feeling that "life was good!" Your warmth and generousity leave an indelible mark on all of us. Fair winds old friend.

Dear Sally and Family,
So sorry for your loss. Al was a gem. He always had a sparkle in his eyes and a smile. Years of fond memories at the Trollheim 5k and GMAA. So pleased I got to see him and visit.

-Al successfully encouraged family and friends to improve his land and trails so the people of Essex and his neighbors could...

I have many good memories of you two, going all the way back to Delta Psi. I loved the Trollheim race, with the 70s atmosphere and price. Al's hot dogs and your pottery prizes were nice traditions.

Dear Sally: Ruth and I were very sad to learn of Al's passing. Al and I go back to grade through high school. There are many fond memories which Ruth and I will cherish. WE were very happy to see you both at the WHS class of 1951 reunion in June.

Just saw Al this summer at the IBM 100 Year Celebration. We had a good conversation, bringing back many fond memories of cross country skiing, and our time together sailing at MBBC.
My thoughts will be with his family.
