LeeAnn, John, Lisa - Not sure what triggered my thoughts of your dad this morning. Doing a web search, I found that he had passed. I am so sorry for your loss.
He meant so much to me. He was a father figure for many years. So often, with you, I would anticipate his returns from travel. Always a huge smile, hug, and a present.
He is a wonderful man that so many of us were privileged to share in our lives.

I was so sad to learn of Ed's passing when I read it in the last Polaroid Retiree's newsletter. I worked at Polaroid for 34 years. I met a lot of wonderful people at Polaroid but Ed was one of the nicest. I have only been to one of the Polaroid Retirees luncheons (in 2011) and Ed was there. I am so glad I got to see him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr. Ed,
You were like a second father to me when Lee Ann and I were growing up. I still remember you taking me on a trail ride, you riding Spirit and me riding Cinnamon. You fell off and Spirit ran all the way home, so you walked on foot back to the barn, me next to you on Cinnamon's back. You always were such a perfect gentleman, even in times like that when I am sure you were thinking words that you did not say. I will miss you very much.
Love,
Vicki

I admired Ed a lot. He was a great manager at Polaroid and loved by many of us. He will be missed.

Dear Jackie, Jamie, Lee Ann, John, Lisa and families: I am so saddened to hear of your loss of Ed. He was a great business friend and a source of a lot of my international knowledge during my years with Polaroid marketing. He was a truly special person, and you are all fortunate to have had him in your lives. May he now rest in peace with our Lord. Blessings to you all.

I first got to know Ed through his boundless energy and commitment to Brown University, but he became a close friend and advisor. I will miss the sparkle in his eyes and his energy and excitement for his many philanthropic endeavors. His love for his family and friends was evident. I count myself truly fortunate to have known him.
