Our sympathy to all of Al's family and friends. Our daughter took lessons from Al for quite a few years (including carting which they loved) and we traveled to shows with Al and Michelle for a number of years. Al was a wonderful blend of being tough when it was called for, but truly caring about others. Al was a very good teacher for the kids and had a great love for the barn and the animals. He and Michelle made a real difference in our daughter's life. Recently, he welcomed us back after our daughter moved back to town. It was like we never left. While we never knew Leah we are thankful for what they built and gave to others. To the family, we hope that the memories, the stories and a few giggles about the old days are part of your remembrances in the coming months. It was a great ride in more ways that one. Thank you for sharing him with all of us over the years.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Al's family. We have fond memories of our daughters riding lessons with Al when they showed horses. After many lessons for our oldest Karen I can still remember him coming up and saying " when are you going to get that girl a horse" she was 13. We leased at first but she was on her way and owns her own horse today. Second daughter Lisa known as " the little one" by AL also enjoyed showing and learning from him.
What a good man and teacher who touched many lives.
