Baca's Funeral Chapels - Las Cruces Obituary

Alfred Lopez, 85 of Las Cruces, New Mexico, joined the Lord and his daughter in Heaven on December 23, 2020. He passed away from natural causes, peacefully in his home, after living a long and fruitful life accompanied by his many loved ones. Lopez, a native to Las Cruces, graduated from Las Cruces High School, and went on to enlist in the United States Navy and was proud to serve his country. Proceeding that, Mr. Lopez went on to provide traffic control for White Sands Missile Range and later became an entrusted Forman for well-developed agriculture companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping the grounds of Ben Lily and Willow Creek every summer with his family. Mr. Lopez also very much enjoyed hunting and fishing, about as much as he enjoyed country music. Mr. Lopez is described by his wife, daughter’s and grandchildren as, loving, kind, stubborn, but faithful and loyal to a fault, and forever their hero.
Mr. Lopez was proceeded in death by his youngest daughter, Martha A. Lopez, 24 of Las Cruces, New Mexico; he is survived by his wife Irene Y. Lopez, 62, of Lubbock, Texas, his grand-daughter Antoinette R. Lopez, (daughter of Martha), his daughter Cynthia A. Lopez, her children, Elijah A. Lopez, and Nevaeh F. Lopez, his daughter, Maria Y. Dozier, her husband Michael L. Dozier, their three children, Victor D. Dozier, Jenny D. Dozier, Katie I. Dozier and great-grand-daughter Octavia J. Dozier, and many family and loved ones.
