I played for Al at Carroll many years ago and have great memories of his passion for teaching us to do things the right way both on the field and off. I have spoken to many other team members with similar positive memories. I also recently learned of his love of visiting the gardens at the Franciscian Monestary with his sister Rite. A great tribute to the softer, gentler side of this big, tough, sensitive man.

Dear Luciani Family,
My deepest sympathy. I was sad to hear of Al's death this week. My sister and I remembered back to the day's of Al and Father Norton visiting our classrooms at St. Anthony School in Brookland. He was always special in our house. My brothers Bill and Jack were better people for having Al in their lives. He was a kind and gentle man. He will always be a good memory of my life.

My Sweet Luciani Family, I'm so very thankful that we've been so close all our lives. Our Mamas made this a priority. I cherish this connection. My sadness is that I wasn't able to visit this last year, but grateful that mine & Tawa's last visit was spent with Boosh and Ri. What a blessing Boosh was to me and my kiddoes- a special bond. I will see you again Boosh, cause Jesus said so !!
