Grandpa, the "most decent man I´ve ever met" as said by his eldest son (my dad) and many others at the service this week. The service brought back my many memories of him, from when I was a child / teenager, and it also gave me a new sense of who he was: Honest. Hard-Working. Playful, and filled with Love. God, last Wednesday, welcomed home one of his best soldiers. I didn't lose him. I hope to see him again because I know where he is today. I was always amazed that this special man called me his friend. My life and my family's lives greatly changed because I met Bud. Its not about me, its about who he was. Very few of us will achieve his level. We can only hope. Love you Bud.

I am blessed to have had Grandpa in my life for the past 21 years. His words of wisdom, work ethic, and morals are things that I will do my best to live up to. Grandpa was the most selfless and admirable man. He was an amazing father to my father, and an incredible role model to all. Grandpa and my sweet grandma (Mary Elaine) gave me the best childhood and family I could have ever asked for.
