Our family is so very sad to hear of Al's passing. What a treasure of a man. I grew up hearing so many marvelous stories about Al, as he and my father, Jerome Litt, were extremely close friends for so many years (going back to medical school!)
We send our deepest condolences and love to the entire family.

To the Moldovan family,
May you find comfort together with all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Dr Moldovan very kindly shared images of some of his treasures with the YIVO Encycopedia of Jews in Eastern Europe.

As the God of King David promised him "length of days to time indefinite" may His promise to bring an end to mourning and reunite us with our loved ones bring your family a measure of comfort and hope.

THERE ARE THOSE PEOPLE THAT YOU MEET ONCE IN A LIFETIME THAT INSPIRE ONES GROWTH IN BOTH KNOWLEGE, AND AN UNEQUAL SENSE OF ONES HUMANITY. HE TAUGHT YOU HOW TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND. TO SAY HE WILL BE MISSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. HE TOUCHED MANY PEOPLE I AM SO HONORED TO BE AMONG THE MANY.
