We had the HONOR to meet him during a trip we made to New Mexico. We purchased a book "IT HAD TO BE DONE". SGT Newman was there with 6 other CODE TALKERS. I was never so honored than to meet with them. When we asked if they would autograph our book they did without hesitation. As an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War I can't ex[plain my feelings. We have maintained the book and make a point of showing it to all our family and friends. It is one of our prize positions. Our sympathy...
