I knew Al in 1964 and 1965 when he came in to see John Piggott, where I worked. He was a gentleman in every respect. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family.

Al was one of my first "bosses" as I left college and Is remembered with both affection and deep respect. He was a great journalist and a better person.
