I first met Al when he travelled to a Raytheon facility in Pa. to assist me I prep for an arbitration. Subsequently we worked together for a decade or more. His sincerity, convictions , brilliance and values were beyond impressive. The gates of heaven have surely been opened wide for this great man,

Al and I worked together in the labor department of O'Melveny & Myers in downtown Los Angeles. Al was a brilliant lawyer. We also shared our Catholic faith and would sometimes go to daily Mass together at the Cathedral, a few blocks away from the Spring Street office. I remember going on a hiking trip with Al, Sarah, my wife Ann, and our kids in the San Gabriel Mountains. When Al and his family moved to Massachusetts, I inherited some of Al's clients. Dear Sarah, I am so sorry to learn of Al's death and pray that the passing of time is being kind to you and your family. Living so far away precluded my attending, but had I known earlier at least one of our children would have attended Al's services. Not only did Al keep me out of trouble with his legal advice at Raytheon, he was my role model regarding practicing our shared faith.
