When I was young Uncle Al gave me a gift. I heard "diamond pin" so you can imagine my surprise when I opened it. He had soldered a dime on a safety pin! We laughed so hard! That was his fun sense of humor that I loved. BTW, I still have the pin.

My sincere condolences! Alfred was my cousin once removed and the last time I saw him, he showed me his WW2 medals plus some highly sensitive maps of Europe he carried in his helmet. A true gentleman. He will be missed.

I enjoyed talking to him so much. When we first moved in to the neighborhood he had a get together for us to all meet. The last time I visited him we had quite a talk and he asked if he could give me a hug. I will always remember him as one of the nices people I have ever known.
