Al will be missed by many people who knew him in numerous capacities throughout the years. Al and I go back to the late 1960s and early 1970s when, as an undergraduate, I was president of the college veterans organization (Geneseo Veterans Club). Over the years we are both rivals and friends and shared mutual thoughts and experiences after I joined the SUNY Geneseo history department as an adjunct in 2001.
