I remember Monte well. I had not seen him since our days at good old Garfield High School but I knew him because he also turned out for track. Although he never excelled at that sport, I was glad to learn that he made the UW varsity crew. He was always friendly and smiling when we met. One of the few guys I enjoyed being around. MONTE's FAMILY- Monte and I served for several years together on the Daffodilian's Round Table during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was my Sir Teller (Treasurer) when I was Sir Boss (President) in 1983. We traveled to many parades together and always had lots of fun; plus we enjoyed his company at the U.W. Husky Football tailgate parties over the years. He will be greatly missed.
