In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

HE IS ALWAYS IN MY MIND AND HEART BEFORE I START A SURGERY. GOD BLESS HIM.

Hi Karin, Same here on all the memories. Miss Miles and your dad . We recently moved again from Santa Fe to Johnson City, Tenn. after 13 years. Please stop by if you need a place to stay on your travels. Love, John McDermott. E=mail-- [email protected]

Karin (Swanny) - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad certainly lived a long and successful life. How fortunate you were to have him so long. Think of you often and I have nothing but wonderful memories of our times in EGR. Can't believe you now live in Ada. God bless. Deb

My deepest sympathies to Dr. deGroot and family. Dr.Swanson was my hand specialist from 1970 through the 1980's. I was his first arthrogryposis patient and I am grateful for all that he has done for my hands. Rest in peace Dr. Swanson.

Sorry for your loss Karen, Miles was out of town in the olé days one Saturday and your dad called me and asked me if I wanted to go skiing with him. We went and I really enjoyed that trip down 39 miles or so south of town to a ski bump hill. Miles liked my parents and this gave me a personal experience of his friendship. Of course , the many golf rounds,, Blythefield C.C.) with the 3 of us were great. Oh! ,so many good memories. Love, John McDermott

Many memories from Al. Some very, very personal. A true giant.

Al Swanson was a lion among hand surgeons, He taught us all how to think clearly about problem, solve them with creativity and passion and care for those with great need. He has left his mark on humanity with pain relieving and life changing operations. We all need people like Dr Swanson to move us along in life, he did just that to the hand surgery world and for that I am grateful and in awe. My condolences to his family, may they find peace in celebrating the wonderful life of this man. ...

My condolences to the family. My experiences with Dr. Swanson were invaluable over my career.
