Not sure what to say?

He was my history teacher at Evergreen High school. A very good teacher and good man

Al was an amazing human. He was limited only by his determination, never by his body. I met Al early in life but really got to know him after his injury. I visited him in the hospital in Vancouver BC, and remember him telling me that he *would* walk down the aisle to get his diploma from Ottawa. When I called to tell him congratulations on his graduation, he said he had walked, but would never do so again. His new vow was to make the chair work for him. And he did. He raced in marathons,...

Al was the most stubborn, resilient person I know! Rest peacefully my friend

I met this great guy at his home. He fixed me and my girlfriend brunch. It was a wonderful brunch. From that time forward we became friends and continued to me for happy hours. He also came to my daughter´s graduation party. RIP my friend until we meet again

Very sad to hear of Al´s passing. I met him when I became the Principal at Golden HS in 2000. He was a wonderful teacher and coach. He put his heart and soul into teaching and helping young people succeed. He was also a big part of the staff success at GHS. He left us much to soon but his memory will last forever. Rest in Peace Al.

Al was an incredible man, athlete, and teammate. I met Al in College at Ottawa University and played together with him on the football team. Those were times that will be remembered forever. It's hard losing a friend, but Al will always be remembered and the memories will always live on. I too will smile when I think of those days and of Al.

Al was a great man. He will be missed by many people and more people you may never expect. Al touched so many people, influenced lives and we all have special memories with him. I played football with Al at Pomona. My son played against his teams and had the most respect for him. When I hear Al Talbot...I will smile with a tear.
With deep respect for your loss,
Don Yost
