Our prayers and love go out to you BJ. We will miss "The Boss". He made an impact on our lives.

He will be missed but never gone from our hearts. We had the pleasure of building their home up here in NC and enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to his many stories. BJ we wish you nothing but comfort and love during this time.

BJ: I am so sorry to hearing of "Hoop's" passing. He was an amazing man, historian about St. Augustine and a very generous man as well. May God wrap his arms around you and the family and give you peace at this difficult time. You are in my prayers. I used to love seeing the two of you at MSB :).

Very sorry to hear your sad news. Just to let you know that we are thinking of you. Pete and Glyn Davis

I was saddened to learn of Hoop's passing. He hired me away from Radio Station WFOY giving me a journalism career that lasted until February of this year when I finally retired after 49 years.
It was an interesting, rewarding career that I enjoy.
My thoughts are with BJ and the family.

Hoopie gave me my first reporting job at The St. Augustine Record in the summer of 1964 before my senior year at St. Joseph Academy. By the third summer, home from college, he handed me a significant investigative assignment which focused most of my 42-year-journalism career on local and state government issues.

B.J. SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MR. T. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. MAY HE AND JOHN R.I.P.
