So sorry to read about Al's death in the N&O. We were good friends even though I am 10 years older than Al. Th e last time I saw him was in Harris Teeter in Southern Pines about a year ago. I remember when Al was delivering supplies to State Bank of Raleigh in the early 1970's. When we sold our little house in Beaufort in 1994 Al could not understand why we used a realtor in Beaufort and not his company in Morehead City. But we remained good friends! city.
