When I received my Christmas card back the other day I knew something happened to this wonderful man. So I went online and my worst fears was there. I lived in and took care of his wife Gladys while he worked. He was a very kind and gentle man. He took very good care of Gladys. I will miss his letters, cards and his stories of all his travels. RIP my dear friend of 30 some years. Condolences to his family and friends.

After reading Al's obit, all I can say is, "WOW." I only knew him for the past two years, first as a fellow-writer for the Reporter at CRC, and then as his editor. The first time I met him, Al introduced himself to me as, "Al Wooll...W-double-o-double-l. That's it." He was as sharp as a tack!
