Alfreda M. “Freda” (Gordon) Hebert Aversa, 97, died Monday in a local nursing home. Freda was born and raised in Whitehall, NY and has lived in Springfield for the past 72 years. She worked at American Bosch and was a 25-year inspector for Titeflex, where she was a member of the Teamsters Union, before retiring in 1981. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Aversa. She leaves her son Thomas Hebert and his wife Mary; a grandson Robert Hebert and his wife Sheryl; four great grandchildren Robert Jr., A.J., McKinley, Shane and a great great grandson Ryan. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her stepchildren Anthony Aversa Jr., Pauline Attanasco and Joann Mitchell. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:00pm followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
