Not sure what to say?

Those of us who worked in Berndt Hall in the evenings always looked forward to Alfredo making his rounds. Always a cheerful word, asking about the family, some useful wisdom, keeping Berndt Hall looking good, which helped us all do our work a little better. Alfredo (Fred) worked in my office building at Fort Lewis College. We often had the best conversations in the evening. He was a genuine and loving person. He told me many stories about his family. Later, I would see him at Walmart, and I would always get a big hug. He made my life brighter and happier.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Alfredo. His wife, Lucy, was my mother's first cousin. I grew up and attended school with his sons, Benny, Rudy, and Sam. My condolences to his family. God speed Alfredo. Vaya con Dios!

To Bruno and family, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing, was not around him much but we loved him

Alfredo (Fred) was a wonderful guy. My late wife Doreen loved him. When he worked at FLC they so often had long, good talks at night. I still remember a wonderful cookout he threw for the FLC chemists and their families...and I have good memories of talks in his Walmart days. A wonderful man, Alfredo!
