Not sure what to say?

I was in the Class of 1958 at Monson. Algernon was a guiding light for me. He helped me in so many ways and was also there supporting me. I remember Algernon's dad picking him up from school for the Summer in his black Chrysler. Algernon also came to my home in Springfield and became friends with my family as well. A gentleman in every respect. Thoughtful, caring, kind, supportive, a mentor and adviser. Algernon was truly a gift to so many especially me. I continue to teach Saint...

Al was a warm, caring individual who actively participated in the Newark music scene and a hard-working member of the community. I will always remember him fondly after having worked with him for eleven years.

Algernon was one who put others before self. His empathy, dedication, perseverance, and kindness was evident in everything he did. So suportive, helpful and always there for all of us at Monson. He was a dear friend to me and spent weekends at our families home in Springfield with me. A wonderful human being who made us...

Our sincere condolences to Dr. Elois and family. Dr. Phillips was a good person and left us nothing but fond memories. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. Thomas, Jorunn, Barbara and Richard Materna

At one point Al and I were roommates in Cushman Hall, Monson Academy when a single room opened up on the second floor. My condolences to you and the family. So many memories flood in. He was a good friend to have in your corner.

So sorry my classmate and friend. My condolences to the family. James David Branch, M.D. Ophthalmology

Cousin Al, you are truly missed. You inspired me to visit Cuba and its people, after your initials visits. I wish I could've been there when you met Fidel Castro. Our Crawford/Phillips Family annual reunions will not be the same without you. You always had stories to share. You will always be remembered. Rest in Peace. Eddie Crawford

My sincere condolences and sympathy to the Phillips Family. Algernon was a dear friend who over the years shared many, many conversations ranging from the MDA meetings in St Thomas and Hyannis. Prior to Covid we spoke at least twice a week during the day at his work. Elois my deepest sympathies during this time. Adrienne and Alexis we met only once in my travel affine in NYC years ago but he kept me updated he was your dad and a friend. May he rest in peace he lived an amazing life.

My dear Adrienne, It's hard for words to express what you are feeling. But, know that you are surrounded by love, prayers and kindness at this sorrowful time of your loss.
