Not sure what to say?

Saffron has been one of my favorite restaurants since I moved to Charleston 20 years ago. He catered events for me but the She Crab Soup was the BEST I´ve ever had! I shared with friends in many cities over the years! JJ, my sympathies are with you and your family. Sherry Murrie

I was fortunate to have known both Ali and Shahram during my years in Charleston during the `90s and remember both as honorable businessmen and excellent restauranteurs. Ali always was a gracious host with a flair for insuring that no customer left disappointed.

I send my condolences to the family. A kind, fun spirit. He wasn't a stranger to anyone.

I will always remember the times we spent together. One thing, other than the marvelous foods and lavish deserts, I will always remember and cherish time spent together on the weekends. Every saturday at subway and church and the chinese buffet on Sundays. Also Karyssa and the kids enjoyed getting to know you. David loved the many pizzas together and Lessie Lou loved eating your ice cream while you were resting. We all Loved and cherish our time together. I pray JJ, Todd and I make you proud ...

My condolences to JJ and his family. Savor the memories of a man who meant so much to so many. God Bless.

I worked with Ali at Papillon and he was such an amazing person. His smile was infectious and would light up the room. He was such a loving and kind man with a heart of gold. I am so sorry for your loss.

Ali was the kindest uncle in the world. He was always smiling, making time for others, telling the best stories, generous, offering a helping hand, and helping those in need without them asking. He always made sure everyone was fed in his restaurant and home! I fell in love with Charleston because of his beautiful memories and presence there and I always knew I had a friend and family who I could count on, in Charleston! I Love you to the moon and back uncle Ali! You are now pain free and in...
