Not sure what to say?

I only first learned of Ali's passing today. It broke my heart. I had the pleasure of working with Ali at World Market. From the first day I met him I knew he had something no one else I had ever known or will ever know had...a capacity to love that had no limit. It was in everything he said, everything he did. He was kind to customers, friends, coworkers and made everyone feel special. He loved his family tremendously, and I hope you find comfort in that. I felt blessed to have known...

Words can't express the sorrow I felt when I heard about Ali's passing. I have been sharing so many wonderful stories with my husband and children about Ali and his family and the fun and crazy times we had growing up in the same neighborhood. Ali always knew how to have fun and would have us in stitches constantly. The old memories of playing kickball and kick the can in the alley are priceless. We had a special "call" to get each other to come outside and play. I would always laugh...

It has been a long time since I saw Ali, but I never forgot him. He was always eager to learn and there to help anyone in need. He kept my foods room in order as my teacher aide and kept a smile on my face as he did it. My deepest sympathies to the Rumi family

Dear Rumi Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Ali's passing this morning. I have fond memories of him and all of you when I used to hang out with Ali. I remember the screaming, yelling, swearing and the loving all at the same time. I always enjoyed coming over for Mrs Rumi's wonderful chicken and Greek salad. I also remember how much he loved his family.
I am sorry we lost touch over the years as we had some great times when we were teenagers. I still remember Ali getting ready...

Ali and I trained together 20 years ago at Midwest for reservations. We "role played" phone calls and he called me Bambi. He brought me to tears from laughter every single day, it was a wonder we learned anything. I have fond memories of those days, and of him--he was truly one of a kind.
My deepest sympathy to his family.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Ali was in my initial class at Midwest, and then became my supervisor for several years. He was a great supervisor because he had so much passion for his job, and so much compassion for his people. You could always count on Ali – for anything. He also had a great sense of humor as I remember on a flight once, he taped my safety card shut, and put several knots in my oxygen mask right before performing our ‘demo’ in front of our passengers!
I am shocked and saddened to hear of his...

Ali was a dear, dear friend throughout my time at Midwest Express and beyond. He opened his home to me when I was commuting and still cherish those memories dearly. You are missed deeply, my friend.

I owe a lot of who I am today to Ali. He took me under his wing when I started at Midwest Express 15 years ago. He was in many ways a mentor. He taught me to be proud of who I am and shine! A part of him will always shine in my heart! He and I had many laughs together, and oh those staff meetings!!!!!!! God Bless you Ali as you have blessed us with your presence!
