Alice (Viveiros) Barlow, 80, of Fall River, died Tuesday at home. She was the former wife of the late Norman Barlow.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Carlos Viveiros and Eva (Bouchard) Shea, she resided in Fall River for most of her life.

Mrs. Barlow worked at Vic’s Car Wash as a cashier and also in the accounting department for many years, she also had worked for Liberty Bakery.

She is survived by a daughter, Dawn Barlow of Fall River, four sons, Gregory Barlow of Paramount, CA, Kevin Barlow of Hermosa Beach, CA, Norman Barlow and Michael Barlow both of Fall River, a step-daughter, Gail de Souza of Fall River, a sister, Ernestine Belanger of Fall River, a brother George Viveiros of Swansea, MA, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David Barlow and sister of the late Charles Viveiros.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours today 7 – 9 p.m.

To my dearest Godson, Gregory and the entire Barlow family, please accept my sincere sympathy over the loss of your mother and my best friend Alice. I’m so sorry I was unable to pay my respects to your mom. I’ve been quit ill and was not able to make the wake or the funeral. Your mom will always be I my prayers and I will miss her dearly.
