I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother (grandmother). I have many fond and fun memories of her as I grew up, thru my high school years. She was a warm, very caring mother (as you more than know) and treated me like one of her own whenever I visited, which was often back then.
And she was a wonderful person. Always smiling. cheerful and full of energy & life. It felt good whenever she was around.
