Age 88
Mrs. Alice Elizondo, age 88, of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. After being a stay-at-home mom, Alice worked for the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau for many years.
After retirement, she volunteered for ARTS of San Antonio for 15 years and ushered at the Majestic Theater for 25 years. While ushering, Alice continued her travels, which was her passion since childhood. She traveled throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. She also volunteered at St. Luke's and Santa Rosa Hospitals, and at KLRN. Alice always loved being around people and was very active her entire life.
Mrs. Elizondo was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Elizondo, and son, Robert A. Elizondo, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Irma Elizondo Campbell, and Linda Elizondo Gomez (Carlos); brother, Guillermo Lozano; grandchildren, Julie Salinas (Mark) and Justin Gomez; great grandson, Rylen Salinas.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 20 at 6:00 PM in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday, December 21, at 9:15 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Sutton, San Antonio, TX 78228.
