Alice Greene

Alice T. Tumulty Greene, 91, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Avalon Assisted Living in Bridgewater. Born in Jersey City, she resided there for many years before moving to Rutherford, Lewes, DE and then to Bridgewater five years ago. Mrs. Greene worked for Wallace-Tiernan Manufacturers in Nutley, NJ for ten years, until 1981. Alice enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, William B. Evans and then by her husband, Leo C. Greene in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her beloved twin sister, Annette Tumulty and her son-in-law, George P. Conklin. Surviving are her cherished daughter, Alicia Evans Conklin of Bridgewater, her dear grandsons, Christopher Conklin and wife, Lisa, of Whitehouse Station and Kevin Conklin and wife, Laurie Ann of Tatamy, PA, four great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Evan, Isabelle, and Megan and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, Three Bridges. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
