Send FlowersGRESHAM, Alice Eaton, of Tappahannock, Virginia, departed this life January 2, 2011, in a Richmond hospital. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Eaton Ware (Joe); one son, John W. Eaton and a devoted aunt, Laura Jane Tildon all of Tappahannock. Visitation will be held Friday, January 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 8 at 11 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church, DeSha Rd., Tappahannock. Rev. Linwood Jones, pastor officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock.

I worked with Alice for many years at the hospital. She was a fine nurse. I remember she was a Richmond Braves fan. We used to see each other at the games. She just knew Chipper Jones was going to the big leagues! I know her family will share fond memories as well that will help take them through this difficult time. God knows.
