Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs Griffith Family

I was a student of Mrs. Griffith's Home Economics and Sewing Class from 1953 to 1956. I remember that she was a very gracious lady and still have instilled in my mind a lot of the things she taught us about manners and being a lady. Sewing has changed drastically over the years, but I am still "old school". I still think of her as "Mrs. Griffith", as that is what we called her. She was the most patient person I know.

Dear Family of Alice Griffith - I am a long time friend of Alice's. We met years ago at Glencullen Baptist Church and that friendship grew into a precious one. In later years, Alice, Jo Phillipson, Sharon Beall and I met for lunch at birthday times throughout the year. Your dear mother and grandmother was a wonderful testimony for our Lord and Savior. I was very sorry not to be at her service. I will miss our phone calls and our times of being together. The obituary for her was so...

My sister's high school teacher, neighbor for 29 years in Hillsdale ,a graceful friend, children in school together and Christian wittness - all done well! Thanks for good memories.

Dear Dave, and siblings,
We were sorry to hear of your mom's home-going. We enjoyed our brief chat with her a year ago at your dad's service. We wish that we could present our thoughts in person tomorrow, but we already had made previous plans. Our prayers are with you all.

To the Griffith Family;
We extend our sympathy for your loss.
Spring time brings resurrection and thus hope for our us, over and over. Our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely;

As a neighbor in our not-very -interactive neighborhood, we felt that Alice and Norm were always a sincere, steady presence anchoring all of us, even though we did not know them well. 21 years ago, when we were new to the neighborhood, Alice gave us an outfit for our newborn daughter. Since that time, whenever we would see Alice out in her front yard, she would ask about our daughters, always remembering their names and details about them. She was the essence of grace. Our thoughts are...

John knew Alice for 30 years, for me...a little less. She was a lovely woman and put everyone's schedule and wishes after her own. Alice was a very kind gracious lady; she will be missed. Thank you for the wonderful story of her life in The Oregonian. Blessings! Dr John & Mary Anne McComb

Aunt Alice was a wonderful lady...so kind and loving to all. She will be greatly missed.
We can cry tears of sorrow that she is gone from this Earth, or we can smile with joy and love because she has lived and touched our lives with her love.

Miss Egeland was my clothing teacher at Washington High School. She was so very nice to all her students and we learned a lot from her, She put up with classes of silly girls, and was a very good sport about it. We all loved her. Today students would say she was "cool."
May you have wonderful memories. I do.
