Alice Griswold

Alice will be sorely missed. She spent many an hour on Sunday afternoons teaching me the intricacies of weaving. I feel blessed to have learnt weaving from Alice and to have had her as my teacher and mentor. Alice continues to be an inspiration to us all.

Please accept my condolences. Alice was super special.

Little did I know what a fortuitous friendship was to occurr when we became your "back door" neighbors 28 years ago. It has been an honor to have been your friend and weaving student...I learned so much from you --the quintessential teacher! Endings are never easy, but I will hold you ever in my heart and memory. I am comforted by our many shared memories and the fact that I have so many of your glorious personal creations that I can use as a touchstone when I need to find comfort...

Alice will be sorely missed among the weaving community...more than any of us can imagine. I am thankful to have shared many times with her at her home and traveling on the road.
