Alice and Don have been our neighbors since my family moved to hilllbrook in 2007. They were so friendly and allowed my girls to play in the tree house and explore the lake. We are so grateful for their generous spirit.

So many memories have suddenly flooded my mind of sitting in her history classes at USCS back in the 80's. We often sat together after class or in her office discussing history or anything else for that matter. She possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of history and a delight to sit with and talk to. Her door, like her heart, was always open and she was always smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

It saddens me to learn of Dr. Henderson's passing. Her parents were such an inspiration to me. I worked side by side with her father, Mr. Hatcher in his garden during my teenage years back in the 1980s. My prayers go out to her children and grandchildren.

Alice Henderson was one of the finest people I have ever met. As a new faculty member at USC Upstate in 1986 and throughout my career there, I was inspired by Alice's commitment to students' well being and to the moral principles of equity and fairness. She was an inspiration to me and to so many others. I hope her family gains some measure of solace from knowing the positive impact Alice had on the lives of so many. RIP, Alice Henderson.

I remember Dr. henderson from USCS. She was a great professor and very much interested in her students wellbeing. I also had the privilege to care if her parents at the Assisted living. It was very apparent where Alice inherited her work ethic and compassion for people. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you all.
