Alice A. Hollenkamp, 91, formerly of Warren, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Fraser Villa Nursing Home. She was born March 23, 1915 in Dayton, Ohio to Thomas and Anna Smith. Alice was a devoted member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church in Warren, where she belonged to the A.C.W.C., choir and the Stephen Ministry. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. John Macomb Hospital and Autumn Woods Nursing Home and spending time in her garden. Alice was devoted to her family, a great joke teller and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved life and enjoyed all of her friends and relatives.. Alice is survived by her children; Ted, Kathy (Bud) Wilson, Dan (Denise), and Mary Ann (Grant) Meldrum; grandchildren, Mary Beth, Jackie, Pam, Jeff, Julie, Jill, Keith, Sarah, Amy, Elizabeth, Dan and John; and great grandchildren, Emma, Garrett, Katie, Griffen, Dylan and Keagan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Dick. Visitation for Alice will be Friday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). Friday an A.C.W.C rosary will be recited 2:00 pm and a scripture service will held at 7:00 pm. Alice will be in state Saturday, 9:00 am until the funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, Warren. Interment will take place at Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are appreciated to St. Elizabeth Briarbank Assisted Care or Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliot, Detroit, MI 48207.
