Alice Faye Hury

Mrs. Hury was my first and most beloved piano teacher. She inspired me to lead a life full of music when I later went on to play the cello and study music in college. She was the biggest influence in my life and career and not a day goes by that I don't use something she once taught me. I still miss her every day, but know she is listening to me from heaven above.

My most sincere sympathy to Alice's family and friends. Alice and I became friends when we were teaching at the English Language Institute at "Pan-Am". She was such a loving person - her family above all but also her students and colleagues. Her sense of humor always cheered any situation. I remember her saying 'I didn't turn out too bad for being an only child.' God bless you all.
