Alice Clark Lathrop

I am one of those boys "Aunt Alice & Uncle Bun" Lathrop opened their home to. They were my "second set of parents" while my real parents were serving as missionaries in Africa. I treasure the memories of those years in Springville. Uncle Bun & Aunt Alice were common, simple people who willingly served & loved us kids and Springville Baptist Church. They showed unconditional love and asked for nothing in return. What a joyous privilege to have known them!

In 1947-1948 Mrs. Lathrop was my Sunday School teacher at the Springville Baptist Church that was down town Springville. Her and Mr. Lathrop came to Lynn every Sunday to take my sister and I to Sunday School.
She would be late for church in order to take us home after Sunday School.
