Not sure what to say?

I like to think of her as "my dear Alice." I would like to say that I mean that personlly, though I'm sure many others share that feeling.

I first met Alice when I knocked on Bill and Alice's front door with a loaf of bread in Kingwood. I was serving as a Deacon at First Pres Kingwood and was assigned a geographical area to connect with the church members in that area, which conveniently, happed to be nearby my home. They welcomed my in without hesitation. This would have been...

Alice was an exceptional friend to our family. Although I don't recall exactly when we met Bill and Alice, it must have been close to 40 years ago. My wife, Sharon, was a Deacon at Kingwood United Presbyterian Church and would occasionally call on Bill and Alice. The backyard of their Kingwood home abutted the elementary school for two of our children. Coffee dates became common. Our kids would also stop by their house. Being "gracious" was who they were. Since Bill and Alice's...

Our family shared a lot of time with the Loveless family when I was growing up, and I remember Alice fondly for her care and concern for us. We shared quite a few meals at their lovely home and I was always intrigued by the interesting souvenirs they'd collected on their travels. My mother Ann, who passed away in 2019, was a great friend and admirer of Alice. When Alice and Bill went to Saudi Arabia, we looked after their pets. Calico cat Snickelfritz was with us for years, and she loved...

Even though I was just a teenager, our families friendly with each other and part of the same church, Alice more than once impressed me with her gracious kindness. She told me a bit about her master's degree studies; I later ended up going into education partly as a result of that conversation. Alice and her husband and my parents remained friends after my family moved away. When my mother died some years later, they attended the service and Alice, seeing me "teared up" in the ladies...

Virginia and Family, May the love of God, family and friends tenderly hold your heart as you mourn the earthly loss of your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you. With love, Phyllis

I was one of many lucky people who volunteered at Humble Area Assistance Ministries with Alice. She ran rings around all of us! What a joy she was to be around. She will be deeply missed. Kathleen McAloon

What a bright light! Alice was ALWAYS open, positive, joyful—looking for the good in life. She had a radiant smile and an open heart. I think there is a new star in the night sky with Alice’s name on it. What a wonderful mentor in aging with grace and gratitude Alice was for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family. Kathleen Church
