What a beautiful obituary summarizing Mrs Macaulay´s long and rich life. She and her family showed me great generosity and kindness throughout my childhood and teenage friendship with Sarah, her youngest daughter. We had so many laughs and adventures at Roberts Creek as kids and debauchery as teens in Vancouver and post-high school travels in Western Europe. Thank you for all you gave and put up with, and the legacy you have left.

So sad to hear of Alice´s passing. The memories of our amazing European trip, in 1970, and our more recent visits to Vancouver will stay with us forever. Deepest condolences to Jim and Family.

I remember Alice Macaulay as the lovely lady behind the wheel of the Macaulay family station wagon who bravely put up with all of my kindergarten shenanigans. Thank you for everything, Mrs. Macaulay, xoxo

My heart is with all of you. I realize that the end is always closer as one ages but it is still very painful to lose one who is so loved. My memories of Alice are of course, always from Roberts Creek where our families shared so many memories. May she rest in peace after a life well lived. Thinking of all of you. Trish DesBrisay
