Alice Onalee Oldfield, of Fairview, MI, formerly of Flint, age 98, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Dr. John Musgrave officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 10:30am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Alice was born in Fenton, MI on February 19, 1915, the daughter of the late James and Ida (Huff) Lefler and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life. Mrs. Oldfield was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 25 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of UAW Local 651. She loved reading, crocheting, doing Sudoku puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are four daughters, Caroline Bishop of Grand Rapids, Mary Catherine and husband George Skaff
of Flint, Paulette Wood of Fairview, Alice and husband
Richard Starr of Burton;
ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul A. Gorman, in 1972, second husband, Joseph Oldfield, in 2001, son, Douglas Michael Gorman,
in 1972, granddaughter, Tina Boyd, in 2001, sister, Olive Chapin in 2006, two brothers, Roy William and Ray James Lefler, sons-in-law, Gary Bishop in 2003 and Bill Wood in 1999. Your condolences may be shared with the family at
